Our relationship with the owners of this house began in 1992, when we built a home for them in Stowe. They moved away for awhile. When they returned, they asked us to give our opinion on a house they were interested in buying. It was a family residence our clients wanted to personalize to meet their needs. With the help of Lee Hunter, AIA, we altered the configuration of bedrooms and bathrooms to be conducive to entertaining couples, and we created a master suite in the former two-car garage, with stunning views and one-floor living. Upgrades included a large solar array and extensive energy retrofits. The couple was delighted that we were able to modify the house to meet their needs and reduce their energy consumption by over 75 percent.
