Artist Sanctuary
We originally built this family home in 2005.
A family with two teenage daughters bought it in 2013 and asked us to make some modifications. We upgraded the girls’ bedrooms with built-ins and cubbies, improved the kitchen with a dining island, new cabinetry and appliances, and gave them the ultimate adjoining mud room. Then we created a studio for the artist wife, located above the garage where the light is ideal. It has its own bathroom, built-in drawers and shelving, and hardwood floors. The project was especially gratifying because the artist used delightful colors and finishes to perk up a wonderful home.
